And…the little man

With all the attention in the household on Big Mamma and “Sissy” as the kiddo likes to call her…we decided it would be a good time to give the little mans room a little refreshment.

We decided on Saturday that we would go out and buy a twin bed and start the kiddo’s transition to a “Big Boy Bed” prior to our little one arriving here in a few weeks.  (Less to deal with, right?)  After making a quick purchase at a furniture store in Laurel, we ran to WalMart and let the little man pick out his own sheets.  “Cars” is what he wanted…so “Cars” is what he got!

Well, when we got home – we realized very quickly that his crib doesn’t convert into a twin sized bed, but a full sized.  (Insert chosen swear word here…)

I was NOT about to give up.  And, I was NOT about to just keep him in his crib.  I was determined that he was going to sleep “Big Boy Style”  that night, no matter what.

Sooo…hubby and I decided that we would just take off the front of his crib.

As we inched closer and closer to bedtime that night, I ached with horror at the thought of having to deal with a two year old pounding on his door for hours on end.

Instead – after a minor fit – he went into his bed on his own, covered himself up, and slept peacefully all. night. long.

This little man never ceases to amaze me.  🙂

Ahhh…A Day in The Life…

Last but not least, I couldn’t help but include a little montage of the little man this morning.  He loves his little camping chair and to him, I don’t think anything is better than his blankies, a sippy with some milk and a little Sesame Street.  🙂

I love Jacob’s new room and I bet he does too…nothing better than Cars. The train and plane decals are so cute. He is growing up so fast.

When my friend Kory was little and wanted a Thomas the Train bedroom, we couldn’t find any Thomas blanket or quilt anywhere so his Auntie Jan made him a quilt.

Take care of Jacob’s “Sissy”, she’ll be here before you know it.
